HERStory: Women’s Month 2026

Across our labs, farms, and communities, the women of Aboitiz Foods are shaping how we nourish the future.

This Women’s Month, Aboitiz Foods launched “HERstory: The Women who Make Things Happen” – a campaign that amplifies their voices and stories and celebrates their expertise, resilience, and leadership driving the food value chain from mill to meal.

The Visionary Leader

Norie Bermudez, Aboitiz Foods’ First Vice President and Country Director of Agribusiness Philippines, is a leader who balances boardroom perspective with grassroots understanding. With 27 years of experience that began as a Territory Business Manager in Visayas, carrying sacks of feed and working directly with customers, she is now breaking the “silicon ceiling” by redefining what it means to lead with intuition, relatability, and a decade-long vision for growth.

The Guardian of Food Integrity

Sahera Nofyangtri, Assistant Vice President for Nutrition & Research at Gold Coin Indonesia, treats the feedmill like an open kitchen, meticulously verifying each ingredient and formula—the foundation that ensures animal feed is productive and safe across the entire food chain.

In a role where chemistry and nutrition intersect, precision alone isn’t enough. Formulas must be accurate, processes swift, decisions bold, and potential gaps anticipated before they affect the farm. In the industry, she believes that a woman’s strength lies in her ability to multitask, a keen eye for detail, and strong intuition that allows for a broader perspective.

The Biosecurity Sentinel

Dr. Emie Rivera, a veterinarian at Aboitiz Foods, stands at the frontline of the food chain where science meets vigilance. She aligns each farm’s unique environment with tailored biosecurity measures, safeguarding animal health and ensuring safe meals for every family.

In the volatile nature of agriculture, mere scientific knowledge is insufficient. Weather shifts, disease patterns evolve, and human behavior varies. Her strength lies in translating rigorous protocols into practical actions that farm workers can understand and embrace. Through trust, respect, and collaboration, she turns biosecurity into a shared mission—proving that vigilance guided by empathy is the most powerful defense.

The Market Strategist

Phuong Nguyen Thi Truc, Product Marketing Manager for Aqua at Aboitiz Foods, transforms complex science into stories that resonate with customers. She bridges cultural and language gaps, translates technical data into practical solutions, and listens attentively to feedback—making sure every innovation is not just created, but understood and accessible to all.

The Sales Architect

Leading a sales team in the competitive, traditionally male-dominated gamefowl market is no small task—but Floreda Molina, Assistant Vice President for Gamefowl Feeds at Aboitiz Foods, rises to the challenge with confidence and grit. Beyond driving commercial success, she works to challenge misconceptions about the gamefowl sector and strengthen relationships with stakeholders across the industry.

Guided by self-awareness, empathy, and adaptability, Flor navigates this complex landscape with steady resolve—proving that credibility, grit, and unique perspective can help a woman excel even in the most competitive arenas.

The Empowered Partner

For Marilou Capiendo, a backyard duck farmer and long-time Aboitiz Foods partner in San Jose, Tarlac, opportunity has grown into a thriving livelihood. For 15 years, she and her husband have worked closely with Pilmico—raising healthy ducks and producing high-quality eggs that sustain their family while also supporting small resellers in their community.

More than a farmer, Marilou represents an empowered partner who turns knowledge and support into shared progress in her community. Her journey reflects the spirit of “Give to Gain”: when women are equipped with the right tools and opportunities, they not only build better futures for their families—they also open doors for others, especially fellow women, to succeed.
