Fostering agricultural learning. In China, Aboitiz Foods employee volunteers join students of Lianwan Primary School to celebrate their continuous partnership under Project EduCare – an initiative that supports access to quality education for underserved communities.
As Aboitiz Foods accelerates its expansion across Asia, the company remains steadfast in its commitment to creating shared value through initiatives that drive community progress and ensure that regional growth translates into local resilience.
One such initiative is Project Educare – the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program that supports access to quality education in underserved communities and equips young people with knowledge and opportunities by investing in learning infrastructure, tools, and resources.
From turning over a new community daycare center in the Philippines to championing agricultural learning in Zhuhai City, China, Project EduCare is anchored on the company’s brand promise, Together, We Nourish the Future, by building a foundation for the younger generation to learn, grow, and thrive.
Nurturing early potential

In Iligan City, Philippines, Aboitiz Foods, through its subsidiary Pilmico Foods Corporation (Pilmico), partnered with Aboitiz Foundation and the local barangay of Dalipuga to turn over the community’s first fully furnished day care center on April 22, 2026.
The new concrete facility is a major upgrade, replacing their cramped, poorly ventilated plywood classroom. Now with a brighter, modern space equipped with toys and learning tools, the facility will help nurture the social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development of children up to age five—helping build strong foundations during their formative years.
“For us at Aboitiz Foods, ‘nourishing the future’ is about making a meaningful impact for generations to come,” said Engr. Alexis Revantad, Vice President for Iligan Site Management and Flour Operations, added, “Investing in this center means investing in our future leaders, thinkers, and changemakers.”

The construction of the daycare center directly supports Republic Act No. 12199, also known as the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) System Act, which promotes a child’s long-term learning and well-being. This year, around 50 children in Barangay Dalipuga will be able to use the newly constructed center.
Barangay Chairwoman Nilda Hamoy described the center as “a symbol of hope and opportunity for every child who will use it.” She remarked, “This will remain a reminder of our role in improving education and in giving a brighter future for the next generation.”
Advancing hands-on learning

In China, Aboitiz Foods’ subsidiary Gold Coin Zhuhai continues to deepen its commitment to community development through its ongoing partnership with Lianwan Primary School in Jinwan District, Zhuhai City, under Project EduCare.
Now in its third year, the initiative supports the school’s agricultural learning base—an experiential platform where students cultivate crops and raise animals as part of their holistic education.
Aboitiz Foods employees joined the students and teachers in planting 40 fruit-bearing trees within the school grounds. The team also donated animal feed, including aqua and poultry feed, to support the school’s garden and livestock. The initiative benefits approximately 400 students, enhancing their learning environment while reducing the school’s operational burden.
“Project EduCare is our commitment to social development in action—educating children on the vital importance of sustainable agriculture while equipping them with the practical skills needed to thrive in a modern workforce,” said GuiRong Liang, Chairperson of the Staff Union, adding, “We aren’t just supporting a project; we are cultivating talents who will lead and transform our industry for years to come.”
Across both initiatives, Aboitiz Foods reinforces the value of collaboration in turning purpose into action and in supporting the UN’s Global Sustainable Development Goals. From early childhood education to hands-on sustainability, Aboitiz Foods is turning its corporate values into community milestones. By integrating these initiatives into its regional expansion, the company ensures that as it scales, the people it serves thrive alongside it – nourishing the future together.
