Tarlac Meatmasters Becomes First Multi-Meat Establishment with Full AAA Accreditation in the Philippines

Sep 3, 2025

Tarlac Meatmasters, Pilmico Farms’ meat-processing facility, has achieved a significant milestone as the first multi-meat establishment in the Philippines to secure AAA licenses in three categories. These include Slaughterhouse (2021), Meat Cutting Plant (2023), and, most recently, Cold Storage Warehouse in August 2025.

On August 19, 2025, the National Meat Inspection Services (NMIS) upgraded Tarlac Meatmasters’ Cold Storage Warehouse from an AA to an AAA—the highest standard granted to meat establishments in the Philippines. The Triple A rating is awarded to establishments whose facilities and operational procedures adhere to stringent international standards and are HACCP-certified, ensuring their meat products are market-ready for both local and global markets.

Since its establishment, Tarlac Meatmasters has secured AAA accreditation for its Slaughterhouse in 2021 and Meat Cutting Plant in 2023—the first facility in Tarlac to earn this distinction. These accreditations are limited, with only eight slaughterhouses and ten meat-cutting facilities nationwide holding AAA status.

“We take great pride in Tarlac Meatmasters for achieving this significant milestone,” said Hendel Cabral, Aboitiz Foods First Vice President of Meat Division.

“This reflects the team’s dedication to pursuing shared wins for quality and food safety standards. As the first facility in the Philippines to earn this distinction, we remain committed to maintaining excellence and raising industry standards. With this achievement, our customers can always trust that Tarlac Meatmasters and Pilmico Farms consistently deliver safe and high-quality products,” he added.

In addition to the AAA licenses, Tarlac Meatmasters has also earned six HACCP Certifications from the NMIS, further reinforcing its role as a key player in ensuring safe, high-quality meat processing for customers and communities.

Established in 2020 in Bamban, Tarlac, Tarlac Meatmasters continues to enhance its capabilities with high-grade equipment and advanced pork processing technologies, cementing its position as a leader in safe, world-class meat production. As a facility of Pilmico, an Aboitiz Foods company, Tarlac Meatmasters plays a vital role in delivering reliable, high-quality food for communities across the Philippines—raising the bar of quality, championing food safety, and setting a new standard of excellence in the meat industry.
